The Community Impact and Education Vehicle allows us to attend local events, tradeshows and schools, promoting awareness, education and empowerment throughout central Alberta.
Recovery and Healing:
Play Therapy and Sensory Therapy
Play therapy is a specialized form of psychotherapy that helps children (and sometimes adults) navigate emotional and mental challenges. Through creative play activities like painting, dancing, and board games, our skilled play-therapists guide clients toward self-expression, emotional growth, and healing.
Support and Empowerment:
24-Hour Support Line
Our 24-hour Support Line is a lifeline to support, empowerment and healing. Our team of volunteers provide free, compassionate support to individuals in immediate crisis or those still healing from the past via phone, text or webchat.
Awareness and Prevention:
Education Programs
Our Education Programs aim to raise awareness, empower individuals, and promote respect. Programs are designed with age-appropriate material for children, teens and adults and include topics about body boundaries, healthy relationship dynamics and break-ups and supporting disclosures.
Advocacy and Justice:
Police and Court Support
Police and Court Support is a crucial program where clients work through their options, file reports, navigate the overwhelming judicial system, and process a traumatic experience one-on-one with the support of a highly-trained worker.
Comfort and Safety:
Pet Support Pal
Oscar, our animal support pal is a vital part of the CASASC team. He ensures guests feel welcome and relaxed during their visit with counsellors or police and court support workers
